Detroit Section Meeting Notice, June 2013
- Date: Tuesday, June 11, 2013
- Time: 7:30PM
- Location: CBS Television Stations – WKBD / WWJ-TV Studio A, 26905 W. 11 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48033
- Subject: AVC-Ultra, an all encompassing H.264 CODEC
- Presenter: Jeff Gouch, Strategic Account Manager, Media and Production, Panasonic System Communications Company North America
Panasonic AVC-Ultra CODEC choices comprising both Intra and Inter frame…yes, both. It sounds like a grandiose marketing ploy, however, it’s very real. Jeff will present a summary of Panasonic’s CODEC direction for the next ten to fifteen years. AVC-Ultra will figure in all of their core products and also those of many NLE partners. The AVC-Ultra codec family will include a wide range of capabilities, from low-level AVC-Proxies to AVC-LongGop at 50 Mbps (and 10-bit, 4:2:2), to the AVC-Intra recording at 10 and 50 Mbps, and then a high-end of 200 Mbps, 10-bit 4:2:2 recording and even 4:4:4 recording at 12-bit for master recording needs.
In addition to our technical program, please come and offer support and welcome to Louis Johnson IV as Detroit Section Chair, starting July 1.
