Many facilities are now using or considering Apple's Final Cut Studio software suite for their post-production work. Our program this month features an introduction to and tour of Final Cut Server, media asset management and workflow automation software for Final Cut Studio. FC Server features to be covered include Asset cataloging, Rapid Search and Access, Workflow automation tools, Collaboration features, Multiformat delivery, and Configuration options. Charlie Grover, a digital media trainer, workflow consultant and Apple Certified Trainer, has been with MacProfessionals since 2007. Charlie is also a professional musician, a founding member of the group Sponge, has toured internationally, and appeared on Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Jon Stewart's shows. He has a decade of professional recording experience with Pro Tools, and still records and performs as a drummer locally. Jon Rutherford has 25 years experience in visual communications creation and presentation. As an Apple Certified Trainer in all the Pro Apps, he has taught classes around the country, and consults on improvement of clients' digital workflow. Jon is one of the technical editors and a contributing writer for "Getting Started with Final Cut Server" by Peachpit Press, hosts the FC Server forum at CreativeCOW.net, and has been a guest on CreativeCOW podcasts. Geno Moliterno has worked in Multimedia and Video Production for the past 13 years. Also an Apple Certified Trainer, he has worked with engineers, producers, editors and motion graphic artists from a wide range of HD and Digital Film Production backgrounds.
